Responsible Gambling

Pro Edge™ is an analytics and information service. We are not a licensed gambling operator, and we do not accept bets, stakes, or deposits. We do, however, recognise that our Content is closely connected to gambling activity undertaken by Users with third-party operators, and we are committed to promoting safer engagement with that activity, in line with the standards expected of responsible operators in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

1. Our Position

Nothing on the Service constitutes an inducement, instruction, or recommendation to gamble. Content is published for informational and analytical purposes only, and any decision to wager with a third-party operator is made entirely at the User's own discretion and risk. We do not knowingly direct marketing communications at, or accept Subscriptions from, anyone under 18 years of age.

2. Understanding the Risks

Betting on sports carries an inherent risk of financial loss. A modelled edge describes a statistical advantage that may be expected to materialise over a large number of selections; it is not a guarantee of any individual outcome. Variance is real, and losing streaks, including extended ones, are an expected feature of a profitable model, not a sign of failure. You should never stake more than you can afford to lose, and you should treat every Selection as opinion, not certainty.

3. Recognising the Signs of Problem Gambling

You may wish to seek support if you, or someone you know:

  1. spends more time or money gambling than intended, or chases losses with further bets;
  2. borrows money, or sells possessions, to fund gambling;
  3. conceals the extent of their gambling from family, friends, or employers;
  4. feels anxious, irritable, or preoccupied when not gambling; or
  5. allows gambling to interfere with work, relationships, or financial obligations.

4. Tools to Help You Stay in Control

If you bet with a third-party operator, the following independent tools can help you manage or restrict your gambling:

  1. GAMSTOP - the United Kingdom's national self-exclusion scheme, allowing you to restrict access to gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain for a period of your choosing (gamstop.co.uk).
  2. BetBlocker and Gamban - free or low-cost software that blocks access to gambling websites and apps across your devices.
  3. Deposit limits, time-outs, and operator-level self-exclusion: every operator licensed under the Gambling Act 2005 (as amended) is required, by the Gambling Commission's Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), to make these tools available and to contribute to the statutory levy that funds research, prevention, and treatment of gambling-related harm.

Readers in the European Union should note that self-exclusion schemes and support helplines are organised at member state level. Your national gambling regulator's website will list the scheme and support services applicable in your country of residence.

6. Age and Identity Verification

The Service is restricted to users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from, or provide Content to, anyone under 18. Third-party operators are separately required, under their own licensing conditions, to verify the age and identity of their customers before accepting any wager.

7. Advertising Standards

Any marketing communications we issue are prepared with regard to the UK Advertising Standards Authority's CAP and BCAP Codes on gambling-related advertising, the standards expected of licensed operators under the Gambling Commission's Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), and equivalent standards applicable in the European Union. In particular, we do not direct marketing at minors or other vulnerable persons, and we do not suggest that gambling can resolve financial difficulties or enhance social or romantic success.

8. A Note for EU Users

Gambling regulation in the European Union is not harmonised at Union level; each member state operates its own licensing regime, self-exclusion scheme, and support infrastructure. If you are resident in the EU, please consult your national gambling regulator for guidance specific to your country.
